The Jackal’s House: Map of Abydos, Aegypt

Drawn by Margaret Warner (Mwa2808@gmail.com).

I’ve taken some liberties with the geography here. In reality, the Temples of Seti and Ramses II are a little closer to the canal that runs to the Nile to the south, but for the purposes of the story, I moved it a little farther into the low desert on the the western bank of the Nile.

Additionally, in 1900/01, when The Jackal’s House takes place, the canal itself was silted into a series of lakes and ponds. I needed a navigable waterway, as it was in Seti’s time. Artistic licence has been employed.
